Truffle season runs from late May through to Early August – but is very fickle and weather dependent. Once harvested from the ground truffles can be kept fresh for a few weeks or frozen to store. But the fresher the truffle – the better!
2023 Black Truffle Prices
All Extra, 1st and 2nd grade truffle is provided as a presentation truffle that will have minimal damage, being practically free from pests, frost/rain rot and a strong mature truffle scent that will make any enthusiast lust after it.

1st / A+ | $3.45 | Some slight defects in shape or colour, presenting a non-uniform look. Can be larger in size. Minimum weight of 15g. |
2nd / A | $3.16 | Obvious defects in shape, development or colouring. Could have superficial pest damage. Minimum weight of 10g. |
Other / C to B | $1.15 to $2.80 | Ranging in suitability for freezing or being absolutely perfect truffle that has had a bad piece cut off. Pick the one that meets your needs – this is a truffle bargain hunters paradise. There could be more pest or rain damage. |
